One of the world's cultural oddities was a tribe that lived on the Russian steppe and practiced total abstinence. Since they had no way to procreate they survived as a culture by stealing babies from neighboring groups and raising them as their own. Maybe that's why this deer is stealing the woman.
.... or maybe 'stealing' isn't the best way to describe what the deer is up to.
